Marni gets its Singapore visa

The Milanese fashion house makes its grand debut in Singapore, unveiling its first-ever boutique at Marina Bay Sands

Nestled in the basement of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands lies the first and only Marni boutique in Singapore. Strategically chosen, the location carries deep significance, especially when considering the etymology of the name “Marina.” Derived from Latin, it means “born from water and waves,” perfectly encapsulating the essence of the boutique’s waterfront setting.

Conceptualised by creative director Francesco Risso in close collaboration with the brand’s in-house architecture team, the boutique’s interior also reflects this essence. The facade features a backlit steel Marni logo against an ivory, gently undulating surface, evoking the movement of water. Spanning 100 sq m, the store boasts ‘Calacatta’ marble mosaic flooring and ivory lacquered walls adorned with organically shaped fixtures for bags. Shoes are featured on sinuous displays blending grey and light acid green tones, accompanied by milk-colored plush pouffes.

With the opening coinciding with the Fall Winter 2024 collection launch, patrons can expect the latest runway offerings and its high summer capsule collection, including pieces defined by boundless forms, blooming daisy patterns, and denim.
