McLaren launches the ultra-limited Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition

By Weixian Low 18 February, 2026

Just ten examples of the Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition will be built worldwide, each paying tribute to McLaren Racing’s 10th Formula 1 World Constructors’ Championship and the MCL39 that secured it

McLaren Automotive is marking a milestone in its Formula 1 story with the unveiling of the Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition, a hyper-exclusive celebratory model limited to just 10 customer cars globally. The edition commemorates McLaren Racing’s 10th Formula 1 World Constructors’ Championship, secured in 2025 with the MCL39—also the year Lando Norris clinched his maiden Drivers’ Championship title.

Curated by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the Championship Edition features a hand-painted livery that directly references the title-winning MCL39. The exterior blends MSO Bespoke Myan Orange and Onyx Black, while a painted ‘10’ motif, complete with ten stars and outlines of each McLaren Constructors’ Championship-winning car, serves as a visual reminder of the brand’s racing pedigree. Gloss Black 10-spoke Super-Lightweight Dynamo forged wheels, Myan Orange brake calipers, and a Stealth-finished sports exhaust complete the track-inspired aesthetic.

Inside, bespoke details continue the championship theme. A ‘10’ headrest embroidery in McLaren Orange and a Myan Orange 12 o’clock steering wheel marker underscore the car’s significance, while a custom dedication plaque reinforces its rarity. Extended satin carbon fibre sill finishers will be hand-signed by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, and each car features a bespoke Track Record plaque listing McLaren’s 2025 race wins, poles and fastest laps.

Beyond the car itself, owners will receive a collectors’ keepsake commemorating the 2025 Constructors’ Championship, along with a tailored brand experience that deepens the connection between road and race.

Strictly limited to ten customer cars only, the McLaren Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition offers McLaren clients an exclusive piece of McLaren’s history and 10th World Constructors’ Championship celebrations. Photo by McLaren

Based on the high-performance hybrid Artura Spider, already lauded with major 2025 industry awards, the MCL39 Championship Edition is less a derivative and more a rolling artefact: a tangible slice of McLaren’s racing history, distilled into ten open-top supercars.
