Private dining rooms In Singapore: Restaurants for business meetings, corporate events and intimate gatherings

By Seraphina Woon 28 April, 2018

These restaurants in the city aren’t miracle workers, but they’ll definitely impress your potential business partners

As any seasoned business professional would know, good deals are hard to come by. So when the right opportunity presents itself in Singapore, you’ll want to make sure that you’re doing everything you can to impress clients. With hard-nosed competitors lurking all around, it takes more than just a beefy proposal to win over that much-coveted signature. It’s all about the extra touches, and a little wine and dine never hurt anyone. So take a break from the arid boardroom and whiz that prospective client or business partner out to any of these restaurants if you’re really looking to impress.

Tong Le Private Dining

There are few restaurants as awe-inspiring as Tong Le Private Dining. Found inside the revolving wheel at the top of OUE Tower, the restaurant’s rotating mechanism takes diners on a slow, scenic circuit of the Marina Bay waterfront as they work their way through epicurean Chinese and Japanese fare. Choose from 11 plush private dining rooms that vary from size and facility configurations. Each of the rooms is decked out with modern Oriental accents, and was designed for total privacy, comfort and great views. If your guests are of the fun-loving variety, select a room with in-built karaoke facilities. You might need some liquid courage before getting there, but that might just get you the deal too.

Hashida Sushi

Housed in a beautifully restored shophouse, the new Hashida Sushi Singapore has three separate rooms that sit eight, 10 and 15 diners. There’s also a bar serving a selection of spirits and sakes, including an exclusive sake from Syata Sake Brewery in Japan’s Ishikawa prefecture. Come December this year, guests can look out for the Hashida Sushi private label Tengumai sake, as well as an exclusive sparkling wine from Hokkaido, made using the Niagara varietal.

Jiang-Nan Chun

Conveniently located on the edge of town, Jiang-Nan Chun provides a formal private dining space that can house medium-sized groups of six, 10 or 12 guests. Known for its impeccable dim sum, claypots and signature Peking duck with caviar, the award-winning Chinese restaurant is a favourite of dignitaries and VIPs, so you know that you’re in good company here. There are four private dining rooms to choose from, of which three are equipped with 65’’ inch televisions for presentation purposes. Sumptuous food, great service and total privacy are guaranteed in any one of these plush rooms.

The White Rabbit

The dramatic interiors of The White Rabbit’s halls are enough to draw gasps from even the most hardened of suits. The restaurant is a refurbished 1940’s chapel, and still retains many of its original key aesthetics. Go past the voluminous central dining room to arrive at The Sunday Room, a semi-private area sectioned off from the main hall. Able to comfortably host 10 to 20 people, it is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a more casual chat in a quirky setting. Talk shop over bites of modern European classics such as lobster bisque or truffled wagyu carpaccio. And if your guests fancy a little alfresco tipple after, just pop out to the adjoining Rabbit Hole bar for a few drinks to better increase your chances.

Summer Pavilion

This one-Michelin Star Cantonese restaurant is perfect for large business gatherings. Lavish, ornate, yet intimate, the restaurant offers six different private dining rooms that cater to a wide range of requirements. Smaller groups can opt for the cosier rooms such as Wisteria, Plum, Pine, Elm and Bamboo. But if you’re really looking to win over some hearts, head straight for the Garden Suite that holds up to 36 guests. The Garden Suite features its own private entrance, a living room that can double as a guest reception, as well as built-in LCD projectors and screens. What’s more impressive is that each private dining room comes equipped with its own barmoire that is stocked with wines, liquors and spirits. It’s definitely a case of going big or going home with this restaurant.
