Parfums Christian Dior welcomes icon Rihanna into the house, making her the muse of J’adore

Rihanna is undoubtedly the best personification of the J’adore; her journey from chart-topping musician to a symbol of strength and independence aligns seamlessly with the spirit of the fragrance line that has been a faithful companion to women across the globe for over two decades. A partnership was bound to happen.

Sure enough, the House of Dior announced the appointment of the iconic musician yesterday.

“We are incredibly proud to welcome Rihanna into the Dior family. Her golden dream promises to be unique, reflecting a fragrance that is present for women, and retains its radiance,” says Véronique Courtois, CEO of Parfums Christian Dior. “The unusual talent, audacity, and captivating beauty of this absolute star are the ideal embodiment of dazzling, powerful Dior femininity that transcends generations. Christian Dior would most definitely have adored her.”

As the new face, the musician will represent the line across select events and marketing activations–including the upcoming campaign, launching in September, by long-time friend Steven Klein. Beyond having Rihanna front the brand, the campaign will celebrate her journey, roots, and creative spirit. Her unique perspective and vibrant energy promise to infuse J’adore with a new dimension, resonating with women of all ages and backgrounds.

“Being the new face of J’adore is both an honour and a mission,” professes the singer. “This scent, that I have known and loved for so long, means so much to women. I am especially looking forward to joining this adventure and contributing to it through my world, my story, my roots, as well as my creativity and my own femininity.”
