Celebrating a decade at the Singapore Yachting Festival, Sanlorenzo returns with the SX100 and the SD118, underscoring the Italian marque’s growing influence across Asia-Pacific
The idea of a 30m superyacht being difficult to spot might sound absurd. But with the Singapore Yachting Festival—running from 23 to 26 April at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove—just around the corner, you may soon find that identifying a specific vessel in a marina teeming with sun-drenched yachts is more challenging than first imagined. Unless, of course, the vessel you’re searching for is built by Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo.
Always crafted to exude effortless style and panache, Sanlorenzo’s made-to-measure yachts have been a perennial fixture of Singapore’s premier yachting event for a decade. With its architectural designs, innovative systems, and ingenious use of interior space, these vessels have enabled the shipyard to establish a formidable presence in Asia-Pacific.

This should come as little surprise. The region is, after all, fast becoming a major yachting hub. And with a new generation of owners seeking stylish, forward-thinking vessels with opulent living spaces, Sanlorenzo’s design-led sensibilities are uniquely aligned with the tastes of the modern yacht buyer.
One need only look to the Sanlorenzo SX100, a 30.5m crossover yacht. Conceived as a bridge between the versatility and long-range practicality of an explorer-style platform and the refinement of a flybridge cruiser, the SX100 exemplifies the shipyard’s knack for rethinking conventional yacht architecture. The vessel is further distinguished by its expansive 7.6m beam, allowing for exceptional onboard volume and unusually open-plan living spaces.

Its most striking feature lies aft, where an expansive lower-deck beach area transforms from tender and water-toy storage into a sprawling waterside lounge, complete with fold-down side terraces that dramatically extend the yacht’s footprint at anchor. Sliding glass doors connect this space directly to an enclosed lower-deck beach lounge, allowing the two areas to merge into one seamless indoor-outdoor entertaining zone.
Crucially, all this architectural ingenuity is underpinned by serious performance credentials. Powered by four Volvo Penta D13 IPS pod drives paired with a fast-displacement hull, the SX100 is able to reach speeds of up to 23 knots while offering a cruising range of approximately 1,600 nautical miles at 10 knots.
Joining the SX100 at the festival is the Sanlorenzo SD118, a 35.75m semi-displacement vessel. Designed for owners drawn to extended cruising without compromising on liveability, the tri-deck model pairs classical navetta-inspired proportions with distinctly modern innovation. Its asymmetrical upper deck increases interior volume and circulation space, while a transformable 19sqm beach area and private foredeck terrace connected directly to the owner’s suite elevate the onboard experience.

While these standout vessels will undoubtedly command attention at the Singapore Yachting Festival, Sanlorenzo’s influence and ambitions extend well beyond the marina. Long distinguished by its close ties to the art world, the shipyard continues to cultivate a rarefied cultural identity. In addition to marking its tenth year participating in the festival, 2026 also sees the Italian shipyard celebrate the tenth anniversary of Sanlorenzo Arts, the brand’s global initiative dedicated to the dialogue between craftsmanship and creativity.
This commitment finds its most permanent expression in Casa Sanlorenzo. Set within a restored 1940s palazzo overlooking Venice’s lagoon, the multidisciplinary space serves as the shipyard’s cultural outpost—hosting exhibitions, installations, and discussions exploring the intersection of art, architecture, sustainability, and Italian craftsmanship. Its inaugural exhibition, Breathtaking, featured works by acclaimed artist Fabrizio Ferri and examined themes of marine ecology and the future of responsible luxury, offering a glimpse into the values increasingly shaping the brand’s broader vision.
Closer to home, Sanlorenzo has further strengthened its presence within the regional arts scene through its partnership with ART SG in Singapore, echoing a belief that yachting—like art—is ultimately an expression of taste and individuality.
This philosophy is mirrored in the shipyard’s continued commercial ascent across Asia-Pacific. Recent years have seen Sanlorenzo introduce a growing number of flagship models into the region, including the first SP110s, as demand for larger and more bespoke superyachts gathers pace among regional buyers. With an expanding order book stretching into 2026 and beyond—spanning Alloy, Steel, and SD models, Asia-Pacific has become an increasingly important pillar of the shipyard’s global strategy.
Ten years after its first appearance at the Singapore Yachting Festival, Sanlorenzo may have ample reason to celebrate. Yet if current momentum is any indication, the shipyard’s first decade in the region may prove to be only the beginning.
