The Revitalising Fortifying Super Serum by Sisley gets a scientific glow-up

Eight years after the original Revitalising Fortifying Serum turned heads (and follicles) worldwide, Hair Rituel by Sisley returns with an advanced formula that looks beyond the strand and straight to the scalp’s bacterial ecosystem

There are hero products, and then there are the rare few that quietly rewrite the rules of an entire category. Since its 2018 debut, Hair Rituel by Sisley’s Revitalising Fortifying Serum has firmly belonged to the latter camp: a bottle sold, by the brand’s reckoning, every two minutes somewhere in the world, and the recipient of 69 international press accolades along the way. Now, the storied maison is picking up where that legacy left off, with the launch of the Revitalising Fortifying Super Serum Advanced Formula, a reformulation that trains its sights on a culprit long overlooked in the hair-thinning conversation: the scalp microbiota.

Where the original serum built its reputation on nourishing the scalp and fortifying strands from within, this new iteration digs deeper, quite literally, into the microscopic bacterial imbalances believed to trigger inflammation, excessive shedding and scalp discomfort. It is, in Sisley’s own words, a “dual scientific innovation”; one that marries the brand’s Phyto-cosmetic pedigree with a more rigorous, laboratory-grade approach to scalp health.

The Advanced Formula is built around 15 active ingredients, each calibrated to its optimal concentration, working in concert across four fronts of hair and scalp vitality.

Leading the charge is organic ginger extract, which works to calm microbiota-induced inflammation. This translates to twice as few hairs caught in the shedding phase, alongside a 43 per cent uplift in root strength. Amla extract and a targeted tetrapeptide take over the density brief, working to reinforce root anchorage and protect the hair’s stem cell reserve. Azalea flower yeast extract lends a boost to cellular energy within the hair bulb, while vitamin B12 rounds things off with its soothing, scalp-calming properties and gives the serum its signature soft pink hue.

An added dividend for the more silver-conscious among us: the formula is also said to slow the visible onset of grey hair, with 91 per cent satisfaction reported in trials.

Sisley is characteristically precise about the timeline, too. Scalp discomfort is said to ease within the first week, alongside a measurable rise in cellular growth protein production. By the one-month mark, hair mass and overall quality become visibly more robust, with strands appearing fuller and denser. It is by the three-month milestone, however, that the formula’s more transformative claims come into focus: markedly reduced shedding, fortified root anchorage, restored density and preserved natural colour.

The Revitalising Fortifying Super Serum Advanced Formula will retail at S$330, available from 1 September 2026 at Sisley counters islandwide and online.

For those keen to put the formula to the test before committing, Sisley is offering a complimentary five-minute scalp consultation and analysis, paired with a scalp massage, at its counters at BHG Bugis, Metro Paragon, Takashimaya Ngee Ann City, and Isetan Scotts — a fitting, hands-on introduction to a serum.
