Made of Makers
The worlds of horology and art unite in Made of Makers, a programme fostering collaborations with various artists who share Jaeger-LeCoultre‘s values and philosophies. That includes the likes of perceptual artist Michael Murphy (USA), mixologist Matthias Giroud (France) and most recently, Nicolas Bonneville, a self-taught perfumer who’s known for his groundbreaking blending techniques. His creation of an olfactory identity for Jaeger-LeCoultre explores the natural affinity between the worlds of perfumery and watchmaking, resulting in three original fragrances: The Timeless Stories, a woody and leathery scent inspired by the iconic Reverso watch; The Celestial Odyssey, an ambery and spicy fragrance that pays tribute to the moon, sun and stars (three celestial bodies that watchmakers so love); and The Precision Pioneer, a woody and spicy aroma that’s inspired by the heart of the Manufacture.
The Seychelles welcomes Cheval Blanc
This 1 December 2024, one of the world’s most stunning destinations will be welcoming the sixth Cheval Blanc to its shores. Wrapped around the Anse Intendane beach on Mahé Island, Cheval Blanc Seychelles will be home to 52 villas blended into nature, each offering uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean and a private 12.5-metre swimming pool. Those who successfully leave the comforts of their villa have plenty to look forward to: five different restaurant concepts (Mizumi and Le 1947, to name a couple); Spa Cheval Blanc, created to Guerlain’s standards; and Le Carrousel, an expansive play space for youngins’.
Tiffany & Co.’s love for the oceans
Building on its legacy of environmental stewardship, Tiffany & Co. has announced Love For Our Oceans, a new initiative committed to conserving four billion hectares of ocean by 2030. In support of this goal and spreading Mother Earth’s gospel, US$1 million will be donated to The Nature Conservancy, a nonprofit partner since 2007, and T Smile by Tiffany cord bracelets, made from ocean-bound plastic bottles, will be sold. Find it exclusively at Changi Airport terminals one and three, before they drop at all Tiffany & Co. stores this 1 November 2024.
“As a global luxury jeweller, we are deeply committed to protecting the planet. It is more than our responsibility; it is a long-term commitment that started nearly 25 years ago,” said Anthony Ledru, president and CEO. “Tiffany & Co. has made great progress in its ocean conservation efforts through both corporate and foundation grants. The Love For Our Oceans initiative represents the next chapter in our ongoing journey, as well as our love of the planet and the beautiful materials and resources that it affords us.”
Tod’s Pashmy Project
In the hunt for the most precious materials reminiscent of the delicacy of pashmina, comes the Pashmy Project, a celebration of craftsmanship know-how and Italian quality. The Pashmy Project, a perfect balance of luxury and wearability, is introduced in the autumn/winter 2024 men’s collection, where standouts include the Pashmy Bomber Jacket. Designed with 100 per cent lambskin suede and built to resist water and stains, this ultra-lightweight jacket is the perfect staple for any man who values comfort as much as he does style.
Zenith’s high-flying collaboration
In a partnership founded on shared values and the passion for travel, Zenith and Japanese bag brand Porter have reimagined two Zenith Pilot models, combining a utilitarian approach with contemporary design. Crafted exclusively in khaki ceramic, a signature Porter tone, this collaboration features the 40mm Pilot Automatic Porter Edition and 42.5mm Pilot Big Date Flyback Porter Edition, both limited to 500 pieces each. The former boasts the El Primero 3620 high-frequency manufacture movement whereas the latter is equipped with the El Primero 3652 automatic high-frequency chronograph calibre.
Giorgio Armani finds floral inspiration
When looking for jewellery fit for someone as beautiful and rare as the Sambac jasmine flower, look to Giorgio Armani’s Blanche collection, a new series designed to signify the different iterations of elegance and timelessness. Composed of various statement pieces—a necklace, earrings, ear cuff and rings—silhouettes are taken from the slow-growing Asian native, with each piece shrouded in delicate, handcrafted luxury.
