In our weekly series, we bring you the latest in luxury news around the world. This week’s highlights: Audemars Piguet presents three new models, Dior’s Plan de Paris collection, and Decorté’s new Loose Powder
Need to accessorise for Waterbomb Singapore?
Get a pair of Gentle Monster glasses, of course. At the debut of Waterbomb, South Korea’s biggest water music festival, one must look their best for the hottest K-pop, K-hip-hop and EDM acts. In line with the festival’s blue and orange theme, Gentle Monster has curated a collection of glasses that won’t only complement your festival outfit, but offer all the protection you will need from the glare of the sun and star power.
Treat your skin to a little Decorté
When your skin is feeling down and weary, look to Decorté for a quick fix. The brand’s new Loose Powder, paired with a gentle powder puff infused with hyaluronate, is designed to beautify the skin with a long-lasting finish. Formulated with green floral musk and a unique light-bending technology (‘harmonise prism technology’, to be exact), the powder manipulates the reflection, permeation and diffusion of light, allowing for a more radiant skin from within. Yours for S$70.
Marni debuts in Singapore
Milan fashion brand Marni is launching its first boutique in Singapore. Set to open at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, shoppers may finally see the brand’s quirky elegance in the flesh. Known for its experimental tendencies and life-embracing approach to design, Marni will open with a showcase of its autumn/winter 2024 collection, where looks include oversized lapel-laden coats, power-shouldered sweaters and form-fitting mock necks.
Audemars Piguet presents three new models
Royal Oak Offshore models, that is, and in different aesthetics. Driven by the rebellious spirit of the Royal Oak Offshore collection, which is famous for breaking the codes of traditional watchmaking, these three watches share a powerful aesthetic highlighted by sharp contrasts. Whether it’s a 37mm timepiece with pink gold hour markers or a 43mm with a smoked blue Méga Tapisserie dial, all three models are equipped with cutting-edge self-winding movements. These can be seen through a sapphire caseback, which will also reveal the collection’s signature oscillating weight in blackened 22-carat pink gold.
One&Only Desaru Coast hosts a Michelin-starred brunch
This 13 to 15 September 2024 will be the Ombak Festival, a weekend of music (six-time Grammy winner Nile Rodgers & Chic will be the headliner), arts and craft, kid-friendly activities and culinary events. Those who are interested may choose a stay package at a five-star Desaru Coast resort, such as One&Only, which will entitle you to a private concert, weekend passes for the Ombak main stage, access to the festival village and more. For an additional cost of RM400 per person, one can go to One&Only Desaru Coast’s Ember Beach Club for a special barbecue brunch by Andrew Walsh.
Dior’s Plan de Paris collection
This autumn, Dior is celebrating the streets of Paris, from Faubourg Saint-Honoré, where Christian Dior found his lucky star, to 30 Avenue Montaigne, where the House was founded. A bird’s-eye view of Paris adorns a new collection of makeup, where there are palettes, lipsticks and nail polishes in shades of silver, gold, pink and blue. Highlights include the limited-edition Dior Forever Fusion, a refillable case complete with a hydrating formula for a flawless complexion.
