The Swiss brand is celebrating its 5th anniversary by offering a one-of-a-kind box set with a watch from each artist
Looking for something a little different than the usual Swiss fare for your wrist? Vieren, a brand founded by Jess Chow (a daughter of two watchmakers) and Sunny Fong (an award-winning designer), is celebrating its 5th birthday with unique watches created by five different artists. James Goldcrown from California, Roberta Boffo from Italy, Cosmodernism from Poland, Kelly Violet from England, and Sébastien Preschoux from France has all lent their hand to creating the funky dials for the the 41.5 × 27 × 9.2 mm timepieces.

But these are not just timepieces featuring the artists’ existing work. Each piece features a unique hand-painted creation specifically created for Vieren. “We were drawn to artists who inspired us,” Chow tells Robb Report. “Each of them was self taught and followed their passions to reach where they are today. From London to Paris to LA, these visionary creatives were able to tell a story through their unique artistry and meticulous hand-painted details. None of them had designed a luxury timepiece before, and seeing them translate their work onto our one-of-one miniature canvas was truly remarkable.”

The artists were challenged to create their own interpretations of time. As you might imagine, none were too literal about it. Street artist James Goldcrown used his signature Bleeding Hearts motif to evoke, perhaps, that time is love. Tattoo artist Kelly Violet painted a haunting floral, while Cosmodernism did a composition inspired by microscopic chemical patterns. Roberta Boffo and Sébastien Preschoux went more abstract with various shapes and patterns. Each comes with a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback engraved with the artists signatures.
All five pieces, made in Switzerland and powered by bespoke ETA 2671 automatic movements, will be available in a one-of-one V Collection Art Crate (US$42,000) in case you want to display them in your home or individually for US$9,000 each. All are one-of-a-kind and purchases will be honoured in order of request.
