Wasted by Potato Head launches a homeware range in collaboration with Max Lamb

More than just homeware and furniture, Collection 001 is a manifesto for conscious living, reshaping our relationship with waste through design

Staying true to Potato Head’s “Good Times, Do Good” philosophy, Wasted is a lifestyle nourished by nature and the progression of culture. After years of in-house research and development and much environmental effort, it has launched a collection of stylish homeware and furniture reimagined from various discards.

Recently available online at shop.potatohead.co and soon in select stores on 8 August 2025, Collection 001 is the first instalment of a five-year collaboration with Max Lamb, a British furniture designer known for applying primitive design methods to the digital world. Redefining the value of materials and how they are source and made, every piece is handmade in Bali by local artisans, merging Lamb’s experimental design approach with Indonesia’s rich craft traditions.

More than just homeware and furniture, the collection is a manifesto for conscious living, reshaping our relationship with waste through design. From marbled plastic chairs to bamboo lounge seating, no two pieces are ever exactly the same, but are equally purposeful and poetic. Using methods such as natural dyeing with marigold and indigo, it reveals the raw integrity of eight distinct material families, derived from a specific local waste stream. Think recycled HDPE plastics, natural dyes made from compost, broken glass repurposed through mouth-blowing techniques, retired hotel linen, used cooking oil-turned-candles, salvaged ceramics, composite waste such as Styrofoam and hand-woven Balinese bamboo.
