The fifth edition of Wine Lust has landed with pairing dinners, retail pop-ups and masterclasses. Here’s what you should be looking out for

Around The World Wine-Pairing Dinner

When: 28 to 29 August 2021, 6pm to 10.30pm
Where: Fire at 1-Atico
Price: S$180

Earlier this year, the guys at 1-Atico took over the premises of Salt Grill & Sky Bar and boy, were we thrilled. There was finally a reason to dine at a shopping mall – Fire, where Argentine food is barbecued in a wood-fired hearth grill, right on the 55th floor of Ion Orchard. This month, we’ll be back for a six-course dinner featuring the best of Fire – Mud Crab RescoldoSlow-Cooked Sherry- and Orange-Marinated Iberico Pork Ribs and Patagonian Red Prawns Parrilla. And depending on your preference for the Old or New World, the meal will come paired with either French or Australian wines. Tickets here.

Mimi Dim Sum Group

Dim Sum Tum

When: 28 August 2021 to 18 September 2021 (weekends and public holidays only), 11am to 3pm
Where: Mimi
Price: From S$4.80 per dish

Traditional dim sum gets elevated with a bit of fun at Mimi, a modern Chinese restaurant at Clarke Quay. Enjoy over 35 dishes, from Crispy Kurobuta Char Siew Bao to Honey Truffle Seafood Beancurd Roll, together with wine available by the glass (S$12) or bottle (S$68). Make your reservations here.

rioja wine masterclass
The wine masterclass at Una will take a maximum of 12 participants

Rioja Wine Harvest Masterclass by Cellar Master

When: 29 August 2021, 6pm to 8pm/8pm to 10pm
Where: Una
Price: S$38

If staying home on a Sunday night means nothing to you, we recommend this cellar master-led masterclass at Una. Located at The Alkaff Mansion, a gorgeous colonial building in Telok Blangah Hill Park, the class will cover everything you should know about the Rioja region in Spain. Something to have at your fingertips for your next trip to Spain, whenever that will be. Tickets here.

The Art of Sake Pairing & Nikkei

When: 1 September 2021, 6pm to 10.30pm
Where: Flnt at 1-Atico
Price: S$180

Nikkei cuisine is pretty cool. Put Peruvian ingredients and Japanese techniques together, and that’s what you’ve got. At Flnt, the sister restaurant to Fire at 1-Atico, Nikkei cuisine spans across dishes like Warm Sushi (flame-seared salmon and ikura) and Ceviche de Pulpo (octopus, leche de tigre and wasabi stem), which is what you’ll also get at Wine Lust’s five-course sake-pairing dinner, happening for only one night this September. Tickets here.

Wine Lust is happening until 18 September. More details here
