Two MC20 series make their debut
Maserati recently made an appearance at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, with the MC20 Icona and MC20 Leggenda special series making their debut, alongside the MC20 Cielo in Blu Victory. Guests were given a taste of their extraordinary power and appeal in Hillclimb, a festival highlight that involved classic and modern racing cars and motorcycles speed up one of motor racing’s most challenging courses. People also got a close look at Maserati GranCabrio Folgore, the first fully electric convertible in the luxury segment that’s also the fastest in the market.
Bamboo 1947: Then and Now
It’s been 60 years since Gucci was introduced to Japan in 1964. In celebration of this milestone, the Maison is launching a new exhibition dedicated to the Gucci Bamboo 1947 bag, which has been reinterpreted by every Gucci creative director since its launch in 1947. In the exhibition, Bamboo 1947: Then and Now Celebrating 60 years of Gucci in Japan, the spotlight will be on 60 of these vintage bags from the ’80s and ’90s, each revitalised by a group of artisans—goldsmith Morihito Katsura and his pupil Naoko Ai, ceramist Nakazato Hirotsune and photographer Daido Moriyama, to name a few.
The exhibition will be held at Gucci Ginza Gallery in Tokyo from 2 August to 23 September 2024. Admission is free.

Savyavasa brings luxury living to South Jakarta

Set on the shores of the Turkish Mediterranean Sea, the Kempinski Hotel The Dome Belek has introduced new upgrades across the entire property. After renovating all 158 rooms and suites, the hotel now has 31 exclusive Lagoon Suites (90 square metres), which offer guests complete privacy away from the main building, along with direct access to the Lagoon pool and sweeping views of the golf course. It also has 12 new Lagoon Golf Suites, another option for a private retreat and as its name suggests, weaved into the grounds of the golf course. The property is also now home to Seljuk, a new restaurant offering world-class cuisine in a serene atmosphere, and the fully refurbished Lale, where one may enjoy nightly live entertainment and themed buffets.
