The Seamaster 37 mm Milano Cortina 2026 continues Omega’s proud Olympic tradition
The Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games are only a year away, and fans can look forward to seeing their favourite athletes compete in events such as speed skating, snowboarding, figure skating, para cross-country skiing, and wheelchair curling.
To mark the sporting event, Omega has initiated the countdown with a “One Year To Go” celebration in Milano Cortina, Italy. As the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932, the Swiss watchmaker has unveiled a new Countdown Clock next to Milano’s iconic cathedral at Piazza del Duomo.
Designed to resemble a snow globe, this giant clock features an airflow system that mimics an artificial snowfall effect around the competition logo. On the exterior, two digital displays keep track of the days, hours, minutes, and seconds remaining until the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games on 6 February 2026, and the start of the Paralympic Winter Games on 6 March.

Along with the unveiling of the Countdown Clock, Omega has introduced a special edition timepiece that combines classic elements of the iconic Seamaster design with contemporary craftsmanship: the Seamaster 37 mm Milano Cortina 2026 Edition. This watch features a symmetrical case made from 18K Moonshine Gold, showcasing a polished finish and a distinctive hexagonal crown—design details that pay tribute to the original Seamaster Olympic timepieces.
At the centre of the timepiece lies a white grand feu enamel dial, providing an elegant backdrop for the sculpted 18K Moonshine Gold hour markers. The watch’s beauty is further enhanced by the diamond-polished, faceted 18K gold dauphine hands, which match the transferred markings in grey petit feu enamel, including the signature Seamaster typography and minute track. Together, the typography and minute track contribute to the iconic look of the Omega Seamaster collection, making these timepieces both beautiful and functional.

The signature Seamaster typography refers to the iconic font used for the Seamaster name on all Omega Seamaster watches. The minute track is a circular scale located on the watch dial, typically around the edge, which displays the minutes and may also indicate seconds.
Omega has been the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932, and the Official Timekeeper of the Paralympic Games since 1992. Through the years, the brand has introduced some of the most important timekeeping technologies in sport, while recording every performance with utmost precision. Omega’s role is critical to the successful outcome of the events and is relied upon at each edition by athletes, judges, and spectators alike.
