Regent Phu Quoc present Taste Studio: A spectrum of contrasts

Through art and cuisine, Regent Phu Quoc presents an immersive pop-up dining experience that explores the interplay of contrasts through food, music, and dance

A Spectrum of Contrasts returns for its fourth annual Taste Studio, this culinary event is designed to stimulate the senses of sight, smell, sound, and taste. Held at Regent Phu Quoc in Vietnam, this event promises to enchant guests with a captivating blend of flavour, art, dance, music, and culture.

This immersive experience offers a journey that extends beyond the plate, creating an interactive dining spectacle that attendees will enjoy. This year’s Taste Studio features a diverse lineup of artists, including the multi-disciplinary Paris-based AC3 Studio, US-born choreographer Sabra Johnson, Regent Phu Quoc’s executive chef Francesco Andreoni and his culinary team, award-winning Trúc Chỉ paper artists, and the music trio Limebócx.

AC3 Studio is a Paris-based creative technology atelier specialising in immersive visual experiences through scenography, video mapping, motion design, kinetic lighting, and interactive installations.

Sabra Johnson, from Utah, USA, has extensive international experience and a deep involvement in Vietnam’s contemporary dance scene. Her performance draws inspiration from jazz, vaudeville, and local culture, celebrating dance as a universal language.

Vietnamese Trúc Chỉ art, created by artist Phan Hải Bằng and collaborators since 2000, transforms traditional papermaking into contemporary art, emphasising contrasts of light and shadow.

Hanoi-based music trio Limebócx is a blend of tradition and futurism that captures the soulful essence of Vietnamese culture.

For culinary enthusiasts, Chef Francesco Andreoni and his team will present a wide array of flavours for a memorable dining experience. Hailing from Milan, Italy, with 20 years of global culinary expertise, Andreoni has worked in renowned establishments across Milan, Paris, Chicago, Melbourne, and Switzerland. He combines high-quality local ingredients with innovative techniques to craft dishes that delight the senses.

Together with executive Sous Chef Huan Tran, who hails from Hue and seeks to explore Vietnam’s diverse culinary traditions, Chef Duyen Nguyen, an expert in French pastry from Ninh Binh, and Oku Chef de Cuisine Andy Huynh, who blends land and sea influences with contemporary art and travel inspirations, they create a culinary narrative rooted deep in cultural respect and excellence.

Limited to just 32 guests, this exclusive cultural and gastronomic event takes place on November 28, 29, and 30, from 6:00 p.m. The event begins with a welcome cocktail and concludes with a grand finale, providing guests the opportunity to meet the artists and chefs behind Taste Studio.

Located on Phu Quoc Island next to a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, Regent Phu Quoc offers an ideal setting for A Spectrum of Contrasts.
