From 6 to 9 November, Singapore’s national open returns to the Singapore Island Country Club (SICC)–free to attend, star-studded on the fairways, and decidedly lively off them
Singapore’s most storied golf week is back, and it’s shaping up to be a proper day out. The Moutai Singapore Open brings elite names from the Asian Tour and Liv Golf to SICC, folds in homegrown heroes, and pairs world-class play with an easygoing festival vibe. Here’s everything worth knowing before you lace up (or simply lounge at the Fan Village).
It’s free, and getting there is easy
Public admission is complimentary; simply register for the tickets here. Tournament shuttles run to and from Upper Thomson MRT (Exit 3) throughout all four days, so you can leave the car at home and still make your tee-time–for spectating, that is.
Big names and bigger storylines
Expect several of Liv Golf’s standouts fresh off securing their places for next season. Among them: Talor Gooch, 2023 Liv Individual Champion, and Thomas Pieters, plus Crushers GC duo Paul Casey and Charles Howell III, who powered their team to three victories this year. It’s a strong international draw for a national open.
Asia’s form players are in town
The Asian Tour brings serious heat: current International Series leader Scott Vincent is chasing another title this season, while Order of Merit front-runner Kazuki Higa arrives on a streak that already includes wins at the Yeangder TPC and the Shinhan Donghae Open.
Local pride on the card
Singapore’s most decorated professional, Mardan Mamat, leads the home charge. The five-time Asian Tour winner—first Singaporean to win on Tour, first to qualify for The Open—joins a slate of local pros and rising amateurs keen to perform on home turf.
There’s a relaxed village vibe
Between groups, head to the Fan Village for light bites and drinks, browse Sparms sun-protection sleeves, and catch the live broadcast from a sprawling outdoor LED screen with seating. It’s an easy basecamp for friends, families and fair-weather fans alike.
Bring a hat, bring a friend, and plan to stay a while—the golf is world-class, and the atmosphere refreshingly come-as-you-are.
