Kengo Kuma’s first venture into the UAE

Kengo Kuma, the legendary architect known for harmonising design with nature, is working on his first project in the UAE. The Wedyan, also a debut of the Al Ghurair Collection, will soar 46 storeys high, with 149 residences comprising three- to five-bedroom layouts, two full-floor penthouses and a three-storey sky villa. Apart from key features like integrated outdoor living spaces, back-of-house kitchens and specialised glazing that protect one’s artworks, a selection of residences will also come with standalone Japanese teahouse-inspired pavilions.

Chanel wins at the Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie

For the first time ever, the world’s prestigious high jewellery houses gathered for an exceptional evening at the Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie, which aims to establish itself as an unmissable international rendezvous of passion, creativity and excellence. Some of the awards presented were the Jury’s Special Prize, Prize for Design and Best Piece of the Year, which Chanel took home for its Sweater Prestige necklace. Inspired by sweatshirts and sportswear drawstrings, the piece celebrates the sportiness of Chanel with white gold, platinum, diamonds, onyx and emerald-cut emeralds totalling 37.18 carats.

The Round Triple Mystery

Franck Muller’s Round Triple Mystery may have left the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2025 (Ladies’ Complication) a finalist, but to us, it’s a winner. Redefining the boundaries of mechanical artistry and visual intrigue, the watch is a statement of defiance against the conventions of watchmaking and time itself. Following the Double Mystery, which introduced two rotating discs that seamlessly marked the hours and minutes, the Triple Mystery has added a third rotating seconds disc, bringing even greater depth to the passage of time and horological artistry. Each disc, embellished with diamonds and triangular gemstone indicators, accompanies a dial that appears to float in motion.

The Azimut|Benetti Group plays it safe

Safe, as in maritime safety. The Azimut|Benetti Group is setting a new benchmark for safety at sea with the help of Watchit Eye, a revolutionary AI-powered collision prevention system founded by formal naval commander and seasoned captain Tal Duvdevany. Available on new models and for installation across the fleet, Watchit Eye emulates the decision-making process of an experienced captain, acting as a co-pilot who performs real-time risk assessments. It focuses on alert timing, giving you enough time to respond to obstacles, and adapts the risk warning system to what you need, be it open-sea cruising or navigating through congested waters. A high frequency 4D imaging radar also provides excellent short-range detection and precise tracking in fog, rain or darkness.
