You can now book a stay at Karl Lagerfeld’s former office in Paris

By Robb Report Singapore 25 February, 2026

Karl Lagerfeld’s three-storey office in Saint-Germain-des-Prés is now a design-led residence, available for short- and long-term bookings

When Jess Levy and brothers Eric and Michael Dayan founded Highstay in 2020, they founded a solution to offering five-star hotel service from within the private, intimate space of a luxurious residence. Renovated and furnished in collaboration with a dedicated team of architects and interior designers, every unit is equipped with modern conveniences to allow guests to live like a Parisian in only the most desirable neighbourhoods.

Available short- or long-term, Highstay is a growing brand that will have 100 Parisian properties by the end of the year. A ‘Curated by’ selection of architecturally and culturally significant addresses includes seven residences, with the recent addition of the former office of late German fashion designer and photographer, Karl Lagerfeld.

Located in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in an early 19th-century building that’s just steps from Serge Gainsbourg’s former home, the three-storey space has been transformed into a multi-level residence by French interior designer Pauline Leprince. Good for a party of four, Saint-Germain I welcomes guests into a restrained palette of steel and ivory, complete with soaring ceilings and twin steel bookcases that point to Lagerfeld’s love of books. Two bedrooms sit above a living room, its two kitchens and bar, and below, a wellness area with a sauna and hammam ensures your day ends on a relaxing note. Anchoring the home, though, is the dramatic staircase, secured by a sculpted steel bannister by Australian industrial designer Marc Newson and Lagerfeld himself.

While the basic services are more than enough for the average traveller—daily housekeeping, 24/7 assistance, concierge service and breakfast on demand—guests can request for anything that will make their stay unique and memorable. There’s even the option of a bespoke Karl Itinerary, which will take you to Lagerfeld’s favourite Left Bank destinations, including Maison du Caviar and Café de Flore.
