Singapore’s very own Castlery welcomes Tan France as its first design collaborator

By Robb Report Singapore 14 August, 2026

Developed over 15 months, the collaboration translates Tan France’s South Asian and British roots into an 18-piece homeware collection

Tan France, fashion designer, entrepreneur and television personality, marks his first step into furniture design with an 18-piece homeware collection, released in collaboration with Singapore’s very own Castlery.

Developed over 15 months with Castlery’s design team, the collection translates France’s fashion sensibilities as well as his South Asian and British heritage into a range of furniture, dining pieces, lighting, rugs and accessories.

From the modular Kagan Sofa with carved solid oak pillars to the colourful hand-blown glass Anika Lamp, every detail serves as a visual nod to home, culture and country. The latter, for instance, brings the classic South Asian archway to mind, while the Anaya Rectangular Tea Table draws on France’s childhood, when family tea gatherings were often a thing.

“Castlery was built in Singapore—a city that has always made something new from the meeting of many worlds,” said Declan Ee, co-founder of the furniture brand, to Surface. “When we met Tan, we recognised that same story in him. This collection is what two outsiders, each at home between different worlds, made together.”

“Living between cultures and countries has taught me that home isn’t just somewhere you live, it’s something you create, wherever you are,” added France. “I wanted to create pieces for the moments that bring a home to life, the table where everyone gathers, the sofa you sink into after a long day… The beauty of a home is found in those everyday rituals, and I wanted this collection to celebrate them.
