Apple Music Hall opens as an intimate live music venue in London’s historic Battersea Power Station

Built for a crowd of 600, Apple Music Hall is designed to connect fans and artists, closing the gap between intimacy and production value

Apple’s love for music runs deep, from the launch of its very first iPod in 2001 to the long-running iTunes Music Festival and debut of Apple Music. This week, it adds the opening of Apple Music Hall to its books, offering a live music venue unlike any other.

Located in the heart of London’s storied Battersea Power Station, Apple Music Hall will offer artists and fans an exceptional live concert experience alongside the River Thames. Heritage brickwork, fluted arches and bronze balconies are built in, while a giant glass wall offers a panoramic view of the concourse and river.

Built for a crowd of 600, the venue is designed to connect artists and fans, closing the gap between intimacy and production value. Every seat feels like a front-row, while the space offers the artist everything they need for an arena tour—an 11.6-metre-wide stage that can be reconfigured for traditional front-facing sets or in-the-round experiences. The cherry on top includes a 48-speaker spatial sound system positioned around the audience and 16 hardwired cameras to capture top-quality live recordings when needed.

Simply put, one can perform an intimate live show for their fans and also walk out with a  finished Spatial Audio recording, broadcast-ready mix and multi-camera video. Performances can also be livestreamed globally, allowing audiences to enjoy one-time-only shows from their favourite artists, wherever they are.
