The First Edition of the Bentley Torcal, the marque’s first fully electric model, pairs its most powerful powertrain with bespoke quilting, carbon fibre detailing, and a 28-speaker sound system

Choosing options for a new Bentley can take longer than the drive home. With the Torcal First Edition, the marque has done most of the deliberating for you, bundling features and finishes normally sold individually into a single launch specification to mark the arrival of its first fully electric model in Singapore.

It starts with the most powerful Torcal powertrain on offer. Output stands at 888PS and 1,350Nm of torque, enough to send the sporting SUV from 0 to 100km/h in 2.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 260km/h—brisk for anything, let alone a car with a deep-pile overmat in every footwell.

The exterior gets an edge to match. Unique 22-inch wheels pair a gloss black finish with Liquid Silver spokes and self-levelling Bentley badges, framing Graphene Grey brake calipers by Mulliner. The Carbon Fibre Styling Specification adds winglets to the front bumper, along with carbon mirror caps, side sills, and a rear diffuser, while a First Edition badge on the front fender quietly signals that this one came first.

Inside, seat quilting with contrasting chevrons and illuminated treadplates give the cabin a character of its own. Owners who prefer to make their own decisions still can: the Colour Specification introduces two colour splits by Mulliner, eight accent colours, and the option of a third interior colour, alongside full leather and contrast stitching. Wellness front seats lead the comfort features, and the two outer rear seats are ventilated, with comfort headrests.

Then there are the theatrics. Powered front and rear doors open at the touch of a button, the Frosted Diamond Switchable Sunroof turns from clear to opaque on command, and the Nairn for Bentley audio system channels 1,780W through 28 speakers, seat transducers, and Dolby Atmos 7.1.4. Without an engine note to compete with, it may well be the best seat in the house.
