From Italian feasts and a Dickensian afternoon tea to a flambéed Christmas pudding and Cognac-spiked mulled wine, Mett Singapore sets a generous festive table in Fort Canning Park
From now until the first week of January, Mett Singapore turns its colonial-era home in Fort Canning Park into one of the city’s busiest festive addresses. Here’s what to book.

A Christmas Story by World Christmas Market
From 10 December to 3 January, the hotel grounds and surrounding park host a free-entry Christmas fair by DareDreamer, the team behind World Christmas Market. Expect festive shopping, food, live music, giant nutcrackers, and illuminated reindeer.

A taste of an Italian Christmas at L’Amo Bistrò del Mare
Festive set lunches (from S$48++) and dinners (from S$128++) run from 21 November to 7 January. On Christmas Eve (S$168++), the signature salt-baked seabass is served tableside; on Christmas Day (S$138++), roasted guinea fowl with chestnut stuffing precedes homemade panettone with Marsala zabaglione.

A Christmas Carol afternoon tea
Weekends from 28 November to 27 December, Canning Bar & Lounge serves a Dickens-inspired tea (S$58++) featuring roast turkey with a mild Anglo-Indian curry and a dark chocolate tart shaped like Scrooge’s top hat.

The Governor’s Christmas Table
The monthly Sunday roast goes all out on 6 December, with a raw bar, prime rib, roasted turkey, maple-glazed ham, and a flambéed Christmas pudding trolley.

Winter Garden cocktails
Throughout December (S$26++ each), try the Notte Rossa, a refined mulled wine of red wine, Cognac, and baked apple, or the Fireside, a spirit-forward sipper of honeyed oak and dried fruit.
