Ray-Ban appoints cultural maverick A$AP Rocky as the inaugural creative director of Ray-Ban Studios—the brand’s dynamic platform celebrating the power of music and stories of courageous artists
From commanding global stages to steering his own creative agency and fronting campaigns for Bottega Veneta, Dior, and Gucci, the Harlem-born polymath continues his meteoric ascent. Now, he brings his inimitable style and vision to one of the world’s most iconic eyewear brands: Ray-Ban.
“I’m excited to be part of the strong heritage and develop the next chapter for an iconic brand like Ray-Ban,” professes A$AP Rocky. “I’ve always admired Ray-Ban’s ability to stay true to its roots while constantly evolving.”

As a trendsetter with an innate ability to merge nostalgia with the avant-garde, A$AP Rocky will spearhead creative projects, reimagining Ray-Ban’s aesthetic and storytelling. His first endeavour? The Blacked Out Collection—a reinvention of the brand’s Mega Icons, featuring gold-plated accents and an ultra-black lens innovation. Set to launch this April, the collection juxtaposes heritage silhouettes with a modern, disruptive edge.
Beyond product design, Rocky will redefine Ray-Ban’s visual identity, directing campaigns and reimagining the brand’s retail spaces. With his signature touch, Ray-Ban is poised to enter an electrifying new era.
“His ability to push the boundaries of the diverse worlds he explores, aligns with the Ray-Ban DNA. We are reinforcing the brand’s values of innovation, pioneering spirit, and courage. Let the future begin!” says the president of Ray-Ban, Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio.
