The luxe hospitality brand is making its debut in Africa with nine safari lodges and camps stretched across Tanzania, letting you track the Great Migration from the sweeping Serengeti to the serene Lake Manyara. The new collection brings two existing safari operators, Legendary Expeditions and Chem Chem Safari, into the Auberge fold, which gives adventurers the chance to bound from one high-end property to the next to experience the most of Tanzania’s wildlife—including elephants, zebras, and more.

Kicking things off is Mwiba Lodge, located in the Greater Mwiba Protected Wildlife Area. These 10 tented suites are perched on a granite outcrop in an exclusive reserve, giving you a prime seat to look out onto the views via your own private deck. You’ll also get the chance to visit the Datoga tribe, as well as enjoy game drives and bush dinners. In the same protected area is Mwiba Plains, which places you right in the grasslands. From those seven tents and two suites, you can watch as newborn calves take their first steps.

Next up is Mila, which sits right in prime lion country in the Serengeti; the spot offers up sundowners in the savannah and dinner beneath the stars, too, among other adventures. For a chance at wildebeest spotting, you can head to Nysai in the Northern Serengeti, with seven tented rooms and two family suites up for grabs. Also in the Northern Serengeti is Songa, where you’ll spend days tracking herds across the riverbank.

The collection continues with Legendary Lounge, which is located on a century-old coffee estate in Arusha. Here, 12 cottages will be your home base, paired with a spa and pool for a more relaxed experience. Chem Chem Lodge in Burunge Wildlife Management Area, meanwhile, is trying to root its guests in the here and now, letting activities there coincide easily with nature’s ebbs and flows. And, last but not least, are Little Chem Chem, a secluded spot that lets you watch Big Tusker elephants, buffalo herds, and tree-climbing lions roam, and Forest Chem Chem, nestled beneath a canopy that aims to bring you even closer to the nature around you—and keep an eye out for a leopard or two.

“Legendary Expeditions has long set the standard for conservation-driven safari experiences, and Auberge Collection brings an equally strong commitment to place and purpose,” Dan Friedkin, chairman of Auberge Collection, said in a press statement. “Together, they represent a meaningful evolution—one that strengthens our ability to protect these landscapes, while offering guests a more connected way to explore them.”
