In the spirit of saving Singapore F&B and the less fortunate, this fourth edition of #BossTogetherSG sees Morsels present a rather special omakase menu, available for a limited time only

Chef-owner Petrina Loh sure knows how to set the vibe at Morsels. The light-filled Dempsey haunt is the kind of place regulars would easily find themselves at a couple times a week or more – it’s laid-back, rustic and pretty much hidden away from the rest of the Dempsey crowd. Come here in a cab and chances are, your driver would be confused.

But all that’s forgiven once you tuck into your first uh, morsel of food. Since 2013, Loh has been cherry-picking her way through quality seasonal produce and gussying up small plates of Asian fusion, built on techniques like fermentation and curing, and inspired by traditional Chinese medicine.

It’s refined comfort food, really (the Pork Jowl Char Siew Wonton Mee is a hit at lunch), and is best experienced in an omakase. If you’re a regular who is game for something different, good news – there’s a new and exclusive omakase on the menu. Designed by Loh for Hugo Boss, each dish comes inspired by the colours of the Hugo Boss autumn/winter 2020 women’s collection, and is part of a partnership that’s fashioned to celebrate women and the brand’s 20 years in womenswear.

More importantly though, it is Hugo Boss’ way of supporting local F&B and the less fortunate in these trying times. Continuing its #BossTogetherSG series, this fourth edition will continue to pitch in 10 per cent of the proceeds to The Food Bank Singapore, a charity dedicated to feeding those in need with donated food sourced from farms, manufacturers… anyone.

This omakase is available as a nine-course lunch (S$95) or 12-course dinner (S$135), with an option for a three- or five-glass wine pairing (S$54/98). Dishes worth mentioning include the Oysters dressed in fermented apples, her signature Venus Clams soup sweetened with dried figs (on some days, a bit too sweet) and best of all, the Crab, where you’ll find chewy shirataki noodles tossed in mentaiko sauce and topped with blue swimmer crab.

Book a table today. The Morsels x Hugo Boss experience is available until 3 October 2020; each diner will receive a S$50 Boss Voucher.

Robb Tip: Tuesday is no-corkage day. Also, we weren’t that much a fan of the Mottainai Lamb. Braised with tomatoes and Chinese herbs and served on a bed of cuttlefish ink risotto, it’s ‘surf and turf’ gone a little wrong, so don’t be shy and request to swap the lamb out for beef. You can, and you will thank us later.
