An ode to Sentosa Island’s storied history, Capella Singapore unveils a brand new bar concept alongside a refreshed hotel l0bby and Living Room interior
Here’s a quick did-you-know fun fact: Sentosa Island used to be a flourishing pineapple plantation way back in the 1880s. We’ll admit we didn’t either, not till Capella Singapore’s recent unveiling of their latest bar concept, aptly named The Pineapple Room.
From dusk daily, the bar transforms from a cosy retreat offering light refreshments into an elevated bar experience, where meaningful connections and conversations happen. Paying homage to what used to be the preferred social space by The Royal Artillery and their loved ones, the space exudes the charm of those bygone days: rattan chairs, vintage lighting fixtures, as well as vintage maps that tell story of Singapore’s early days and more.
Bolstered by two al fresco terraces, The Pineapple Room offers the perfect setting for leisurely, yet intimate, gatherings; we can already imagine ourselves having a much-needed catch-up chat with a dear friend, with a soft glow illuminating the room, or you take it to the outdoor terraces for stunning views of the sunset over lush greenery that envelops the property. As the hours slip by, guests can refresh themselves with the newly curated selection of cocktails that subtly weaves a nod to the pineapple theme; with tropical pineapple forming its base, The Pineapple Room presents Triple P as its signature cocktail, with complementary reposado, agave nectar, lime and orange bitters, topped off with a pinch of chilli salt.
