Chaumet reopens its ION Orchard boutique

By Amos Chin 20 October, 2026

Chaumet marks the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a closer look at its heritage of fine jewellery and craftsmanship

Chaumet has reopened its boutique at ION Orchard, bringing a renewed expression of the 246-year-old maison to one of Singapore’s premier luxury shopping destinations. The reopening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by international and local celebrities, alongside key executive members of the Chaumet Asia Pacific team.

Founded in Paris in 1780, Chaumet has spent centuries refining a distinctive jewellery language shaped by French artistry, royal patronage, and a longstanding association with Place Vendôme. At ION Orchard, that history informs a boutique that draws on the maison’s Parisian roots without feeling beholden to them.

The interiors offer several reminders of Chaumet’s visual heritage. Golden ears of wheat, engraved across the walls by French artist Patricia de la Torre, greet visitors at the entrance. The motif dates to the maison’s earliest days, when founder Marie-Étienne Nitot selected the ear of wheat as his maker’s mark. Long associated with prosperity and fertility, it remains one of Chaumet’s most enduring signatures.

A work by French artist Martin Berger brings the maison’s deep blue into focus, its undulating form lending movement to the space. Elsewhere, nickel-silver tiara models recall Chaumet’s historic relationship with Napoléon I and Empress Joséphine. That royal connection remains central to the maison’s identity, particularly in its approach to ornamentation and the tiara as a defining expression of its craft.

The boutique houses Chaumet’s familiar collections, among them Joséphine, Bee de Chaumet, and Liens. Each draws on a different aspect of the maison’s design vocabulary, from the tiara-inspired lines of Joséphine to the bee motif and the interlocking forms of Liens.

For the reopening, selected High Jewellery creations from the maison’s heritage collections will also be on display, offering a closer look at the craftsmanship behind some of its more exceptional pieces. Alongside these are fine timepieces, extending the presentation beyond jewellery.

The reopening reinforces Chaumet’s presence in Singapore while offering visitors an opportunity to experience the maison through its own history: one shaped by nearly two and a half centuries of design, royal commissions, and a continuing commitment to the art of jewellery.
