Three’s not a crowd
For those heading to the Singapore Yacht Show, multi-brand dealer Hong Seh Marine is definitely one to look out for. The group is showcasing three absolutely stunning craft from the Ferretti Group, each making its South-east Asian debut. Here’s the lowdown on each of the yachts, the elegant Ferretti Yachts 450 and 700, and the luxury sports Pershing 5X.
Ferretti Yachts 450
It’s often said that size isn’t everything, and that’s especially true with the Ferretti Yachts 450. It may only be 14.3m long, but thanks to a number of clever packaging and design solutions, it has a surprising amount of interior space. Designed to feature three cabins including a full-beam master suite with ensuite bathroom, the Ferretti Yachts 450 can sleep up to six. The generous swimming platform at the boat’s stern also features a tender lift that serves double duty as a beach club. However, the most visible and striking element of the Ferretti Yacht 450’s use of space is its flybridge, its cantilevered design extending almost flush with the stern providing enough room for a dining area and sun deck with a retractable canopy.
Ferretti Yachts 700
Timeless style and high technology are usually mutually exclusive, though with the Ferretti Yachts 700, those two elements come together seamlessly, as if you’d expect any less from the Italian boatyard. A rakish superstructure points to its sportiness (it’ll hit 31.5 knots, depending on engine configuration) and its timeless curves ensures the Ferretti Yachts 700 will continue looking good well into the future. As for smart features, it has an integrated swimming platform/tender lift also seen on its smaller brother, the Ferretti Yachts 450. Suffice it to say, guest comfort on board is superlative, with a living area equipped with two sofas, a dining area and a galley with a space set aside for preparing cocktails. The Ferretti Yachts 700 can also be configured with up to four cabins, all sumptuously fitted out and with flush portholes and stanchion-free windows to let in natural light.Pershing 5X
Pershing is once again redefining what a sports yacht should be. An aerodynamic exterior design inspired by jet fighters and a stealthy black colour scheme gives the impression that the Pershing 5X is fast, and it certainly is. When equipped with twin CAT C12.9 engine that deliver 1,000hp each, the Pershing 5X will hit a top speed of 45 knots, with a cruising speed of 41 knots. Above all else, however, the Pershing 5X is a luxury yacht, and on that front it delivers as well. A full-beam master suite with ensuite bathroom is a standard feature, the first Pershing in its size class to offer such a feature, and a living area accentuated in grey shades adds to the luxe factor.
