With a goal of helping the elderly, the charity market invited one and all to shop for pre-loved designer goods
While many took to the streets of Orchard Road over the weekend for some serious Christmas shopping, we were bagging pre-loved designer goods at our own Charity Fashion Market held on Saturday, 8 December. After all, supporting a charitable cause while shopping our hearts out isn’t something we get to say everyday, is it?

We took over WeWork’s newest co-working space along Cross Street and gave patrons a chance to raid some of Singapore’s most stylish wardrobes – think chic, futuristic-looking eyewear from the Gentle Monster and Alexander Wang collaboration, a timeless Polo Ralph Lauren Tartan Duffel Bag, women’s accessories from Gucci, Fendi and Dior footwear and men’s jackets and suits from brands such as Miu Miu, Balenciaga and Prada amongst many others. Delish acai bowls by Project Acai were available for those who were feeling peckish, washed down with bubble tea from Winnie’s Bubble Tea.
The charity market could not have been a success without the individuals and brands who generously donated pieces, in addition to the supportive shoppers who were palpably dedicated in clearing multiple racks of apparel on the day itself. Also deserving of a special mention are the folks from Style Tribute, The Paper Bunny, By Invite Only, Frankskincare, Craft Beverage Supply, Matter Prints, Hello Chocolate and Amazin’ Graze, who helped the IMV team put the charity market together.
In all, the market successfully raised $14,279.70, and $5,172.58 will be donated to the St. Hilda’s Community Services Centre to help fund the running and maintenance of its facilities.
