Developed and managed fully by Marina Bay Sands, Jin Ting Wan will be a destination for Cantonese fine dining and city views

Once again, Marina Bay Sands gives us reason to visit—this time in the form of Jin Ting Wan, an authentic Cantonese fine-dining restaurant that’s set to debut in the summer of this year. Developed and managed fully by Marina Bay Sands, it will be a destination in its own right, not just for the food but for panoramic views of both the city skyline and the sea.

The name, which directly translates to ‘Golden Dragonfly Bay’ in Mandarin, is a poetic nod to its location. Gold (Jin), being a direct reference to the first character of Marina Bay Sands, and dragonfly (Ting), a beauty that’s often sighted around the bay. The last of it obviously signifies water, an element the Chinese associate with luck and prosperity.

Staying true to its name and the tradition of China’s imperial and aristocratic past, Jin Ting Wan is a space of heritage and artistry. Find intricate dragonfly motifs all around and a selection of fine artefacts and custom art commissions on display.

The restaurant also spans an entire floor—level 55, Hotel Tower One—with space for 166 diners, two private dining rooms, two private dining suites and a chef’s table. In true Cantonese fashion, one will experience the beauty of elevated simplicity, prepared with recipes honed through generations. Using the finest seasonal ingredients harvested from land and sea, the menu will range from seafood delicacies to dim sum and roasted meats, accompanied by an impressive collection of Chinese fine wines and rare vintages.
