Founded in 1954, Sincere Fine Watches is Singapore’s oldest and most established name in luxury watch retail. It should then come to no one’s surprise that they are finally dipping their toes into The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, a soirée for opulent brands.
To commemorate the opening, Laurent Ferrier recently unveiled a new limited-edition of their Classic Origin. The watch is enclosed within a 40mm stainless steel case and endowed with a gradient green opaline dial—only 10 pieces will be created.
The Classic Origin SHH Edition is technically refined, and sets forth a minimalistic take on poise and charm. The unique gradient almond green dial transitions from translucent green at its centre to a deep spring green near its periphery, setting a soft and muted backdrop for the legendary Assegai-shaped hour and minute hands, in 18-carat white gold, to float peacefully across the centre of the dial. The limited-edition timepiece recapitulates its elegance by retaining the emblematic “ball” shaped crown of the Laurent Ferrier House.
“In designing this watch, our aim was to combine the desire of SHH for a green vintage piece, with our pure aesthetics codes, which are devoid of all superfluous details. Our wish was to create a timepiece that has a vintage appearance, is visually soft, while being modern and compelling,” says Christian Ferrier, son of Laurent Ferrier. “The challenge was to achieve this, while keeping to our philosophy of minimalist, uncluttered beauty.”
Collectors will be able to decide between a light brown or a dark green calf leather strap to accompany the Classic Origin SHH Edition, paired with a stainless-steel pin buckle. The timepiece is now available at the new Sincere Haute Horlogerie boutique at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, B2M-202, which opened on 7 September 2022. Yours for S$55,300.
