Dior’s Trompe-l’œil collection

Harking back to a unique invitation to Jonathan Anderson’s Dior debut—a plate of trompe-l’œil eggs—Dior continues to pay homage to the 18th-century art of trompe-l’œil with a collection of decorative ceramics. Inspired by its archives and Anderson’s childhood memories from Northern Ireland, edibles like a croissant or whole eggs are revealed as fascinating illusions—a poetic embodiment of artisanal excellence and attention to detail.

Chopard revives the Alta Moda

At the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, Chopard brought the Alta Moda collection back to life, reinterpreting the jewellery watches of 1984 through the savoir-faire of Chopard and Caroline’s Couture. True to the original, the new Alta Moda watch is distinguished by its use of silk taffeta, a luxurious fabric that becomes the bracelet, embracing the wrist with its generous folds. The heart of it though, is the mother-of-pearl dial and its dainty 24mm case, crafted in 18-carat ethical white gold and pavé-set with 80 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 5.50 carats.
