Chanel acquires Charvet

French heritage shirtmaker Charvet, which has crafted many an outfit for a who’s who of historical heavyweights—Marcel Proust, John F. Kennedy, Winston Churchill, and even Coco Chanel—has been acquired by Chanel for an undisclosed sum. The news follows a recent collaboration between the two heritage Maisons. Chanel creative director Matthieu Blazy teamed up with Charvet to create a series of crisp long-sleeve shirts, complete with a pearl button and the house’s signature chain, for women as part of his first spring 2026 collection.

Chaumet reopens its Ion Orchard boutique

A beautiful tribute to Chaumet’s heritage and signature codes appears in the form of a newly redesigned flagship boutique at Ion Orchard. As one of two locations on the island, the store boasts a fully-windowed and softly curved façade in Chaumet blue, inviting visitors into a world of French savoir-faire and contemporary inspirations. The setting, filled with models of nickel silver tiaras and a majestic mural in a dégradé of white and gold, highlights the Maison’s three emblematic collections—Joséphine, Bee de Chaumet and Liens—and an exclusive selection of High Jewellery creations.
