Single malt house The Macallan has partnered with Lotte Duty Free Singapore and Changi Airport Group to open its first-ever shop-in-shop at Singapore Changi Airport, positioned as a key travel retail touchpoint for the brand in Asia Pacific.

Located in Terminal 3, the compact 19 sqm space is designed as a hybrid of hospitality and retail, with brand consultants on hand to guide travellers through the brand’s heritage and portfolio. The centrepiece is The Macallan’s first-ever island bar within a shop-in-shop, created with an open layout that invites closer interaction with brand ambassadors.
Design cues of the venue are of course unmistakably Macallan. The bar’s countertop is finished in the brand’s signature red (a colour rooted in its history) while an oak wave pattern wraps the island, drawing inspiration from the curves of The Macallan Distillery roof and the rolling hills of Speyside, echoing the movement of the River Spey.

The island bar is also where the tasting happens. Travellers can sample travel exclusives and limited releases, including The Macallan Colour Collection and The Harmony Collection Inspired by Organic Cherrywood Lapsang Tea. If you’re shopping for a gift, there are elevated finishing touches too–think branded ribbons as a final “ritual” flourish for presentation-worthy gift boxes.

Beyond the bottle, the shop leans into discovery. A digital module, Discover Your Expression, comes paired with a nosing tool to help shoppers land on a whisky that fits one’s palate. Elsewhere, a Six Pillars experience complete with physical sphere sculptures brings the brand’s foundational elements to life through a multi-sensorial lens.
