This series of five limited-edition masterpieces is part of the Montblanc High Artistry Grandeur series, which celebrates iconic landmarks and historic sites worldwide. Every architectural detail of this UNESCO World Heritage site has been thoughtfully translated into refined materials and elegant forms by Montblanc’s master artisans. Whether inspired by the King’s private chambers or the dazzling Hall of Mirrors, each piece becomes a work of art, celebrating the extraordinary craftsmanship of one of history’s most iconic palaces.
Each edition’s clip is crowned with the sun, a powerful emblem adopted by Louis XIV at the start of his reign and a nod to Apollo, the Greek god of light, arts, and music. Completing the design is a cone-shaped bottom, inspired by ‘Le Chiffre du Roi,’ Louis XIV’s personal seal, an intricate, interwoven monogram of the king’s initial that adorned royal correspondence and décor throughout Versailles.
