A stay in this luxury hotel, although sitting on the other side of the world, will have you tucking into Singapore’s vibrant flavours

Pan Pacific Hotels Group will call London its home come September. The Singapore-headquartered hospitality company unveils its first European outpost in One Bishopsgate Plaza, a city landmark that sits near many entertainment hotspots such as high-end shopping malls in Spitalfields, the Barbican cultural hub, and the Shoreditch neighbourhood.

A building symbolic of old and new London architecture, Bishopsgate Plaza is home to not only the 43-storey bronze tower of Pan Pacific London and private Sky Residence apartments, but also the 144-year old Devonshire House that houses designer shops, a destination restaurant and a contemporary cocktail bar. These two cultural hubs are connected by a landscaped public plaza, making it a round-the-clock destination for socialising, living and working. The design maverick behind the entire hotel and its public areas are design duo Yabu Pushelberg, who have harmoniously melded South-east Asian cues with the refined elegance of traditional British style under a single roof.

In the food department, Pan Pacific London wouldn’t disappoint. Each of its five restaurants will serve up unique elements of modern Singapore fare, going through the hands of renowned chefs like Lorraine Sinclair and pastry chef Cherish Finden. The team is partnering closely with British producers Nurtured in Norfolk to grow their own high quality Asian ingredients, as well as sourcing local produce in a bid to minimise carbon footprint.

Embodying the thrill of Singaporean bar culture,  Ginger Lily takes pride in its Champagne list from over 200 houses and rums from 150 sources, the largest list of by-the-glass bubbles in buzzing London. Expect nothing less than an eclectic selection of signature classics inspired by Singaporean flavours and culture.

Fitness junkies would appreciate an entire floor that’s dedicated to wellness, including an 18.5m infinity pool and the latest equipment from TecnoBody®, including the D-Wall and conditioning gym. Easily, you’re looking at one of the best technologically advanced facilities showcased by any hotel gym in the UK.
