This May, Phillips auctioneers has curated a stellar line up of 20th century and contemporary art as well as watches and jewellery for its 2019 Spring auction in Hong Kong.
Contemporary Art
Up for bids are the paintings and art works of renowned names such as George Condo, anonymous street artist Banksy, Fernando Botero, Eddie Martinez, Roy Lichtenstein, Zao Wou-Ki and Tomoo Gokita, in addition to Andy Warhol and KAWS. Artists representing Southeast Asia include Singaporean painter Liu Kang, as well as Marina Cruz-Garcia, Maria Taniguchi, and Mai Trung Thú.
Vintage Jewellery
Jewellery collectors, keep your eyes peeled for some truly exquisite creations by Cartier, Graff and Harry Winston, as well as a wide assortment of fine jade pieces.
Important Watches
Watch aficionados will find this three-day event especially interesting. Phillips in association with Bacs & Russo is staging the first auction in Asia curated by an Asian collector. Phillips X Blackbird: SPORTS lists several vintage Rolexes and Patek Philippes for sale including a rare Ref. 1579 in pink gold with a salmon dial.
More Rolexes and Patek Philippes are on sale under the Phillips Hong Kong Auction: Eight. Here’s where you might follow the action on a Ref. 5002G Sky Moon Tourbillon, indisputably one of the greatest Patek Philippe wristwatches of all time. Other brands to expect include Greubel Forsey, Audemars Piguet and A. Lange & Söhne.
These pieces and more are making their rounds across Asia. In Singapore they will be on exhibit this weekend 27 and 28 April at the Garden Pavilion of The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. Opening hours are from 11am to 6pm.
