When in Oman, stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Muscat
The next time you visit Oman, think of the new Mandarin Oriental, Muscat in Shatti Al-Qurum, an upscale neighbourhood known for the Royal Opera House Muscat and its beautiful beach promenade. Recently launched on 3 June, the hotel is the perfect place to set up camp as you explore Muscat’s ancient architectural treasures and vibrant culture. Designed by French interior designer Xavier Carton, the hotel draws inspiration from the richness of Oman’s culture, as you will see in its grand Omani wooden doors and 103 guestrooms and 47 suites (not to mention, a collection of 156 private homes). Guests and residents will enjoy picture-perfect views of the sea and the majestic Hajar Mountains, Mandarin Oriental’s award-winning Asian-inspired spa treatments, and its wide range of international cuisines.
Givenchy’s two new parfums
Hubert de Givenchy, the late founder of Givenchy Beauty, was quite the social butterfly, throwing the best soirees for the most extraordinary personalities at his Parisian Hôtel Particulier. Inspired by these vibrant parties, Givenchy has crafted two opulent Eau de Parfums. The Fantasque (S$485), which embodies the Maison’s timeless elegance and sophistication, opens with myrrh-incense and a rich, refined floral essence of vanilla and sweet balsam. As for the Cœur Fou (S$419), which pays tribute to the art at Hôtel Particulier, one can expect a lively and invigorating blend of French blackcurrant bud absolute, the Damascena rose and Indonesian patchouli. Find them only at the Givenchy Beauty Boutique at Raffles City.
Nuvolari Lenard’s Sub-500 GT S1 Superyacht
You can always count on Nuvolari Lenard, a Venetian design studio best known for its full-service exterior and interior design of aircraft, real estate and yachts. Something new to add to the portfolio is the Sub-500 GT S1, a superyacht that will soon be turning heads at the Monaco Yacht Show in September. The 47-metre-long vessel aims to offer all the luxury, versatility and capability that one will need. Highlights include an owner’s deck with an aft-facing suite with stunning views; four double ensuite cabins, with two that can be transformed into a VIP suite; an elevator; a large, glazed wine cellar; and enough space for a car.
Chloé’s Beginning
Never forget your roots, Chloé’s new autumn collection will remind you. Returning to its early days, the Beginning Collection focuses on the most defining moments for the House (Karl Lagerfeld’s 1970s collections, for instance), bringing you a new wardrobe that’s both timeless and seasonal. Boasting a library of fabrics, from silk and mousseline to georgette and silk jacquards, and a palette of infinite colours, the collection of signature blouses, denim, knitwear and ‘70s accessories.
Guerlain’s ultimate age-defying lotion
As part of Guerlain’s Orchidée Impériale Black routine, the n-Fusion Lotion is imperative to begin with. Boasting BlackImmuneᵀᴹ technology and a new stimulating complex, the lotion targets the skin’s natural defense mechanisms and shields it against the visible effects of time. After one month of usage, one can expect a more luminous and revitalised skin and compliments to come their way. Yours for S$1,115. Refills go for S$892 each.
