In our weekly series, we bring you the latest in luxury news around the world. This week’s highlights: Loewe launches a special T-shirt, Son Heung-Min represents Ralph Lauren Fragrances, and Hublot reprises its iconic Essential Grey collection
Zeelander Yachts’ new compact boat
Meet the Zeelander 5, a 14.7m-yacht addition to Zeelander Yachts’ larger models. Perfect for both indoor and outdoor living, the boat comes complete with new curvy features, subtle design improvements and a highly sophisticated interior. Think a deep cockpit with couches, a transom that folds down to a large bathing platform, and a fully functional galley discretely installed in the curved counter at the starboard side of the saloon. The Zeelander 5 is also available in both twin or triple Volvo Penta IPS 650 drives, providing “intuitive joystick handling” and top speeds of up to 40 knots.
Ultima Collection launches a sophisticated retreat in the heart of Geneva
The same award-winning group behind the most luxurious resorts and residences in Europe is launching Ultima Geneva Quai Wilson. Set in the heart of Geneva, on the southwest shore of Lac Leman, the luxury retreat is a collection of five private full-floor apartments that range from three to six bedrooms. It also offers privacy and personalised five-star services, such as daily housekeeping, house managers, spa therapists, private chefs and butlers and drivers on request. Expect it to open this 15 July 2024.
Hublot wins a Red Dot Design Award
On 24 June 2024, Hublot’s MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System was selected by a jury of experts to win the Red Dot Design Award for Product Design. Fitted with rounded angles, sleek design and sapphire crystal, the watch is a brilliant piece of form and substance. In place of hands, the piece features four constantly rotating displays, with the hours and minutes in the upper third of the dial and the circular power reserve in the central third. The calibre has also been fused with the dial, giving way to an architecture-forward design and a time that’s read from top to bottom.
Loewe launches a special T-shirt
In celebration of Jonathan Bailey’s new foundation, The Shameless Fund, Loewe has formed a partnership with the actor to promote free, authentic living, without the burdens of discrimination, oppression or shame. Inspired by the scenes from Bailey’s recent historical drama series, Fellow Travellers, the partnership has produced an exclusive milk-loving T-shirt that is currently available on loewe.com and select stores (Casa Loewe Madrid, Barcelona, London, Greene Street New York, Paris and Milan).
Son Heung-Min is now a brand ambassador for Ralph Lauren Fragrances
In line with the launch of Ralph Lauren’s Polo 67 Eau de Toilette, new brand ambassador Son Heung-Min now brings a fresh, athletic spirit to the fragrance. As someone who’s renowned for an outstanding football career and leadership, Son personifies the essence of Polo 67 perfectly.
“I am honoured to partner with Ralph Lauren Fragrances. The message of achieving your dream through hard work and determination is something I deeply connect with, both on and off the football pitch. I hope this collaboration inspires others to design their own dreams with passion and never give up,” said Son in a statement.
Featuring notes of bergamot, pineapple, geranium and vetiver, Polo 67 emphasises the power of big dreams, grit and determination. Yours for S$156 at select retailers.
Hublot reprises its iconic Essential Grey collection
Like vintage wine, each Essential Grey series is unique and different—single model, single colour, and released once annually through a single channel. Following the Big Bang Unico Essential Grey and Spirit of Big Bang Essential Grey are two Classic Fusion Essential Grey models with fully titanium cases and bezels. One measuring 42mm (HUB1110 calibre) and another, 45mm (HUB1112), both feature signature hallmarks, such as an integrated bracelet, a satin-finished bezel, exclusive textured rubber strap, sunray-finished dial with three central hands, and a guaranteed power reserve of 42 hours. Yours for CHF7,700.
