Tod’s launches an exclusive collection for Chinese New Year 2026

From superfine wools to silk tailoring, the Tod’s 2026 Chinese New Year Collection elevates festive dressing

Tod’s has unveiled its 2026 Chinese New Year Collection, a curated selection of ready-to-wear and accessories that eschews overt branding in favour of Italian craftsmanship and meaningful symbolism.

At the heart of the collection is a celebration of the Year of the Horse. Rather than relying on traditional imagery, the house has opted for a clever, graphic interpretation: a leather bag charm in which the sculpted head of a horse is ingeniously composed of “TOD’S” lettering. It is a playful yet sophisticated nod to the zodiac, designed to complement the Barretta handbag.

The Barretta itself serves as a centrepiece for the season, featuring refined charms that lend a sense of movement, along with a discreet red interior that reveals itself only to the wearer—a private acknowledgment of the festive spirit.

The ready-to-wear offering leans into the tactile comfort required for seasonal travel. Highlights include men’s zip-up jackets and hooded sweatshirts in superfine wool; women’s skirts in 100% silk featuring intricate patterns; and knit tops and wool-blend scarves that integrate festive red in a way that feels “rich yet restrained.”

Footwear, as always, remains central to Tod’s collections. Timeless loafers, Mary Janes, and the lightweight T-Marathon sneaker are finished with subtle red stitching—a detail that speaks to an “if you know, you know” sensibility, anchoring the collection in tradition while remaining firmly within the realm of modern luxury.
