The new boutique offers a contemporary space to explore the brand’s centuries-long history
Fans of Blancpain have plenty to celebrate. Just days before the maison unveiled its exquisite Villeret Golden Series, the historic watchmaking brand marked a double milestone in Singapore with the opening of its new boutique at Ion Orchard and the launch of an immersive pop-up exhibition.
Located on the third floor of Ion Orchard, the watchmaker’s latest boutique offers a contemporary and sophisticated environment for both seasoned collectors and neophytes to immerse themselves in the brand’s centuries-long heritage. Decorated with paraphernalia that speaks to the brand’s principles, philosophy, and ocean conservation efforts, the space exudes an old-world refinement that’s accentuated by an interplay of dark and light wood fixtures throughout.
Most importantly of course, the boutique features an extensive showcase of Blancpain’s iconic collections, including the elegant Villeret line, the legendary and pioneering Fifty Fathoms, and the graceful Ladybird models. Named after the brand’s birthplace, the Villeret is the brand’s most classically-inclined collection and embodies both refinement and restraint. The Fifty Fathoms, meanwhile, is a horological icon that speaks to the brand’s pioneering role in the development of modern dive watches while the Ladybird, continues to dazzle with its graceful allure.
That said, should you wish to explore the brand’s universe further, make your way to the Atrium of Ion Orchard. Running till 26 October, the maison’s recently launched pop-up exhibition brings to life its iconic collections through a series of visual installations and narrative showcases. From the inspirations behind the watches to the brand’s continuous and extensive efforts in preserving the ocean, the various displays at the exhibition offer a true window into the world of Blancpain.
