From Michelle Yeoh to Jenna Ortega, this year’s Golden Globes—and its award winners—are more diverse than ever
Following a brief hiatus over the past two years, the Golden Globes are back with a new and improved image, promising more transparency and equality across the board. Hosted by American comedian Jerrod Carmichael, the event’s 80th edition kicked off the 2023 awards season at its usual venue, The Beverly Hilton Hotel, and continues to be a star-studded affair despite a few missing faces.
As we all know, the big news is Michelle Yeoh’s epic win for her role in Everything Everywhere All At Once, along with co-star Ke Huy Quan’s award for Best Supporting Actor. Austin Butler took home Best Actor for his part in Elvis, Angela Bassett won Best Supporting Actress in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Cate Blanchett was awarded Best Actress for her role in Tár. Stephen Spielberg’s The Banshees of Inisherin also bagged multiple awards including Best Screenplay and Best Director.
Of course Hollywood’s most glamorous night wouldn’t be what it is without a splendid red carpet ceremony full of fabulous fashion, beauty, and jewellery moments. Here are all the best looks of the night.
