With its anticlockwise movement and aged titanium case, the Classic Fusion Titanium Retroverse challenges the conventions of time
It may sound a little ironic to say, but Hublot, the ever-eager, envelope-pushing maison, appears to be looking back. Of course, for a brand defined by avant-garde materials and forward-thinking design, it does so in a way that is anything but conventional. In collaboration with The Hour Glass, Hublot unveils the Classic Fusion Titanium Retroverse—a timepiece that, in its own way, turns back time.

Powered by the HUB1105 automatic movement, re-engineered to run anticlockwise, the watch offers a distinctly different expression of time.
“The Classic Fusion Titanium Retroverse is a study in character and the passage of time,” says Michael Tay, Group Managing Director of The Hour Glass. “The unclockwise movement challenges our traditional perception of time and serves as a sophisticated technical detail for the discerning collector.”
Complementing this mechanical reversal is a grained gradient dial, complete with Arabic numerals that also run anticlockwise. Offered in three variations—blue, green, and grey—the timepiece is housed in a 42mm case crafted from brushed blackened aged titanium. It is this unique finish that lends each piece a rugged sense of masculinity.

While the blue and green dials introduce a sense of depth and vibrancy, the grey variant, with its near-monochromatic visage, offers a more restrained, understated appeal. Each is paired with colour-matched calf leather straps, reinforcing the cohesive, considered design language throughout.

“Our long-standing relationship with The Hour Glass is built on a foundation of absolute trust and a shared desire to push boundaries,” says Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot. “We are engaging with a remarkably sophisticated and knowledgeable clientele that appreciate the complexity behind our movements and the boldness of our materials, making this exclusive Retroverse edition a fitting tribute to their passion for innovative watchmaking.”
With a 48-hour power reserve, each variation is limited to just 30 pieces.
