The stylish bull
Eurosports Auto, Lamborghini’s official dealer in Singapore has launched the Lamborghini Aventador S, priced at S$1,628,000 without COE and options.
The mid-life refresh of the Aventador (a car that made its debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show) receives sharpened exterior styling, with subtle tweaks to its sheetmetal including a redesigned nose, rear diffuser and taillights.
However, the updates are more than simply cosmetic – the new Lamborghini Aventador S touts a 130 per cent increase in downforce at the front and 50 per cent at the rear, achieved partly through reprofiled aerodynamic bodywork elements and a three-position rear wing that sits flush with the rear deck when in low drag mode.
The Lamborghini Aventador S’ mechanicals have also been upgraded, though the seven-speed single-clutch automated manual transmission is carried over. Its 6.5-litre V12 now gets 730bhp (40bhp more than before), just 10bhp shy of the screaming SV variant. Also new is the introduction of an all-wheel-steering system first seen on the limited-run Centenario to improve agility at low speeds, and stability and high speeds.
Order books for the Lamborghini Aventador S are now open.
