In our weekly series, we bring you the latest in luxury news around the world. This week’s highlights: Cartier’s latest Clash de Cartier collection, Club Med’s new offerings, Guerlain celebrates the cherry blossoms

McLaren’s Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition

McLaren won its 10th Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship last year, powered by Drivers’ Champion Lando Norris and his teammate Oscar Piastri. And like it did last year when it won its ninth Constructors’ Championship, McLaren is celebrating with the Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition. There will be just 10 available, each showcasing 10-spoke wheels and the number 10 embroidered on the headrests and steering wheel. The livery, meanwhile, is similar to that of the F1 car, along with orange brake calipers and the sports exhaust.

Chopard’s Zagato Lab One

In a manifestation of automotive brilliance fit for a design lover’s wrist, this third collaboration from Chopard and Zagato is one breathtaking watch. Made from ceramicised titanium, the Zagato Lab One Concept, a 42mm beauty, is exceptionally robust and scratch-resistant. Weighing just 43.2 grams, it sits comfortably on the wrist, and a box-shaped sapphire offers unobstructed views of the chrome-toned skeletal dial, powered by a hand-wound LUC 04.04-L calibre movement. Only 19 examples are available, each priced at CHF 130,000.

The newly updated Clash de Cartier collection revolves around the idea that metal can be as supple as fabric. Photo by Cartier

Cartier updates the Clash de Cartier collection

In a move away from the rigidity of previous iterations, the newly updated Clash de Cartier collection revolves around the idea that metal can be as supple as fabric, a fluidity and sensuality achieved by traditional lost-wax casting and high-precision engineering. And as a way to break up the mononity of just gold, Cartier has gotten more creative, adding coloured stones, onyx and even bolder extra-large volumes and adjustable wear.

The Exceptional Rendezvous Cherry Blossom. Photo by Guerlain

Guerlain celebrates the cherry blossom season

At every beginning of spring, cherry trees in bloom turn Japan into a gorgeous sea of pink, bringing the entire country together to celebrate Hanami. As a poetic tribute to this age-old tradition of flower viewing, Guerlain created the Exceptional Rendezvous, an annual cherry blossom fragrance that breathes new life into your wardrobe every year. Its 2026 edition arrives as a collaboration with Swarovski, a master of crystal that’s embellished the iconic Bee Bottle with a shimmering fuchsia-toned cherry blossom—a radiant romanticism that evokes both the lightness of cherry blossom and sweetness of a cherry.
