Regardless of where you decide to start your exploration, you’ll find yourself in a world of your own at Montblanc’s new boutique in Singapore

Montblanc has always had a home at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, but to keep things fresh, it recently moved a few doors down from its previous boutique. While remaining in basement two, it has shifted closer to the Sands Theatre wing. Regulars will continue to enjoy the rich heritage of Montblanc, while exploring its timepieces, leather goods, travel accessories and of course, writing instruments.

The new boutique’s layout is kept simple with various corners proudly holding its own weight. The digital corner invites smartwatch enthusiasts to test the brand’s latest Summit editions, the collector’s lounge is where you’ll potentially spend hours deciding how you’d like to customise your leather goods, while the atelier enchants with its leather library, allowing you to leather to pore though bound books that contain no less than fifty different types of Italian leathers.

Then comes our favourite of the lot: the Ink Bar. It’s a first in Southeast Asia, and as its name suggests, you’ll get to experience Montblanc’s signature inks. Pick up one of Montblanc’s signature fountain pens, dip it an electrifying shade of your choice (it’s hard to choose between purple and blue) and calligraphy your way through smooth writing paper. It’s easy to lose track of time here — we certainly did — and Montblanc has subtly but cleverly reignited our passion for literally putting pen on paper in the digital age.

Don’t forget to test out Montblanc’s range of scented Elixir Parfumeur inks (also on display in The Bureau at our Concourse Skyline Penthouse) that come in a leather-scented Orange Brown, wood and tobacco-scented Gray, and vetiver-scented Green.

The eagle-eyed will also notice the brand’s permanent pop-up located right in front of its store. While themes and concepts change on a regular basis, guests can expect each installment to embody the spirit of Montblanc. For its debut this month, the pop-up has been turned into a mobile travel hub, allowing you to discover its Montblanc X Pirelli Trolley luggage and other handy (and stylish) travel accessories.
