They’re everywhere this awards season, and our favourite male celebrities have certainly worn these men’s jewellery styles well
From the Golden Globes to the Academy Awards, all the best-dressed men had one thing in common: they remembered to accessorise. In the past, a dressy timepiece was de rigueur—and all a man needed. But these days, celebrities have stepped up their style game with rare and beautiful men’s jewellery pieces that even women would gladly wear. And if the 2023 award season is anything to go by, bejewelled lapel pins and brooches are what every stylish gent needs in his wardrobe, stat.
Ke Huy Quan
Best supporting actor Ke Huy Quan wore Giorgio Armani with Oliver Peoples eyewear, along with vintage jewellery and an Omega Globemaster timepiece. He also wore not one but two pieces of lapel jewellery. The first is a vintage diamond and black velvet floral brooch and the second, a 2.50-carat lozenge diamond lapel pin, both from American jeweller Fred Leighton.
Brendan Fraser
The 2023 Oscars best actor winner rocked the red carpet with a Giorgio Armani tuxedo and dark-rimmed Oliver Peoples glasses. He also had a vintage diamond and sapphire brooch from LA jeweller Platt Boutique pinned to his jacket lapel, and an Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope timepiece on the wrist.
Michael B Jordan
Another fan of the double brooch trend is Creed III star and director Michael B Jordan who sported a Louis Vuitton tuxedo on the “champagne”-coloured carpet. He accessorised with a dapper Vacheron Constantin FiftySix timepiece, and two Tiffany & Co. Bird on a Rock brooches, one with a 32-carat morganite and the other with a 58-carat green tourmaline.
Paul Rogers
Film editor Paul Rogers who won the Best Film Editing award brought a quirky touch to the Academy Awards, pinning a googly guy to his lapel and another with a bow-tie motif.
Ram Charan
Paying tribute to his Indian heritage, Ram Charan wore a modern-ethnic ensemble and accessorised with a trio of brooches and medallion buttons designed in the style of chakra motifs.
Paul Mescal
The Irish actor’s style game was on fire, as he arrived in an ivory double breasted tuxedo jacket from Gucci, completed with black trousers and bow tie. He’d also worn a red rosette, pinning a Cartier diamond brooch right next to it, and finished the look with a Juste Un Clou earring as well as a Cartier Privé Tank Chinoise timepiece.
Tyler James Williams
At the 2023 Golden Globes, Tyler James Williams looked absolutely suave in a trendy suit by Amiri, and added a touch of old world charm with a vintage diamond jabot pin.
