Performance Art

With earlier models like the Excalibur Spider Pirelli and Excalibur Spider Italdesign, Roger Dubuis had already signalled its intention to go in the direction of high-performance luxury automobiles.

This fixation with the automobile world continues in this limited-edition Excalibur Spider Double Flying Tourbillon, which is certain to strike a chord with supercar aficionados. Looking at its dial, one is easily reminded of a dashboard full of speedometers, gauges and indicators of all sorts, but this beauty is all mechanical.

This can be seen clearly in the movement, which has been expertly skeletonised to reveal the mainspring, going train, winding mechanism and the double tourbillon with differential.

In striking contrast with the dark NAC-coated plate and bridges decorated with circular graining, the bright orange inner flange adds a pop of colour, along with a strip of red around the bezel, as well as numbers and labels in varying hues. Like all Roger Dubuis watches, this watch comes with the Poincon de Geneve certification guaranteeing high-quality finishing and chronometric precision.

For less flamboyant tastes, Roger Dubuis has created new variations of the Excalibur Spider Skeleton Automatic.

These two models juxtapose the luxurious warm glow of pink gold with futuristic titanium and multi-layered carbon, cementing its reputation as a pioneer of contemporary skeletons.

Limited to only 88 pieces each, they’re exactly the kind of watch for the man who likes his cars the way he likes his watches – sexy from the inside out.
